It looks as if Liz Truss is commanding more support in the Tory leadership race than Rishi Sunak. I really cannot imagine that she has what it takes to organise a piss-up in a brewery, let alone successfully lead the government of such a prominent world power.

I am beginning to wonder if there isn’t a hidden agenda here. Is she being set up for a fall? If she is then it would be because behind the scenes someone else is being lined up to replace her. Since we have ostensibly had all the possible hopefuls, who on earth could that be? Surely it cannot be that Boris Johnson is plotting a comeback?
